EnglandHockey Equality Policy
Statement of Intention
England Hockey is committed to the principles of equality of opportunity. England Hockey aims to ensure that all people, irrespective of age, gender, ability, race, religion, ethnic origin, creed, colour, social status or sexual orientation have a genuine and equal opportunity to participate in hockey at all levels and in all roles. This includes, job applicants, employees, participants, volunteers and spectators.
Ely City Hockey Club is committed to working to ensure access to Hockey for anyone, regardless of individual circumstance or background.
We will address barriers to participation and promote positive actions to help everybody have the opportunity to participate. In order to achieve this we will produce and implement a robust equality action plan for players and volunteers.
For Ely City Hockey Club Equity is about fairness in the club. If necessary we commit to changing the structure of the club to ensure that it becomes, within reason, equally accessible to all potential members, whatever their age, ability, gender, race, ethnicity, sexuality or social/economic status.
